Abstract:
Potential Impacts of Climate Change on World Food Supply: Datasets from a Major Crop Modeling Study Query Service is a web-based application providing rapid generation, viewing and download of data from the GISS Crop-Climate Study Database. The service offers three query building tools: impact of climate change, carbon dioxide effects, and farmer adaptation scenarios on crop yields in a particular
... country or region; impact of a particular scenario on several crop commodity yields in all Basic Linked Systems (BLS) countries and regions; and the impact of the scenarios on one particular crop commodity in different regions. The database is produced by GISS and the query service is provided by the Columbia University Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN).
The purpose is to provide access to projected crop yield data from the GISS Crop-Climate Study Database for query and analysis.
