Abstract:
The data set contains information about undersea dives conducted by the NOAA
Undersea Research Center for the North Atlantic and Great Lakes, located at the
University of Connecticut. The data fields include: the year the project was
conducted, a unique identifier number, project title, a web-based link to
project information, principle investigator, co-pi, dive system used, dive
number, dive
... system number, date dive conducted, general dive location,
longitude in decimal minute format, latitude in decimal minute format, length
of the dive in hours/decimal hours, maximum depth in meters, bottom type
description, support vessel, longitude in decimal degrees, latitude in decimal
degrees, unique identifier for each individual dive log record.
The unique identifier (DiveLog_ID) can be used to link to a table listing tapes
that contain seafloor and water column imagery from the dive location. Copies
of the tapes are available upon request on a cost-reimbursible basis.
