Abstract:
This product is a poster, available from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). The poster dimension is 36 inches wide by 30 inches tall. In the poster: NOAA's Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite, NOAA-18, captures historic Hurricane Katrina shortly before making landfall along the Mississippi and Louisiana coasts at 1950 UTC on August 29, 2005. Spatial resolution of AVHRR instrument is 1 km.
