Response of Diatoms to Changing Ecological Parameters in the Vestfold Hills: Implications for Climate Change

A total of 67 diatom species were found from the surface sediment of 33 lakes in the Vestfold Hills, Antarctica. Water chemistry (including salinity, nutrients and major ions) is available for each of the 33 lakes sampled.

Values provided in temporal and spatial coverage are approximate only.
The major difficulty associated with the DNA based dietary work was that we were not allowed to collect as many scat samples as we wanted to on the Heard Island expedition. This led to an impoverished data set and consequent difficulty in publishing the work.
These data are not yet publicly available for download.
