Abstract:
The CRONOS (Climate Retrieval and Observations Network Of the Southeast
Database) database is an online interface to weather and climate observations
collected from automated sensors in North Carolina and surrounding states
(stations in portions of South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Tennesse). Most
stations are maintained by the FAA, NWS, or other government agencies. 26
stations (ECONet) are
... maintained directly by the State Climate Office of NC.The
interface uses PHP to communicate with a MySQL database, and is designed to be
dynamic and flexible. The target audience of users includes general public as
well as advanced users such as researchers.
