Abstract:

The Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has developed various multi-channel GOES9 and GMS5 high-density, satellite-derived products. This effort is in support of the CALifornia Land-Falling JETs Experiment (CALJET) and NOrth Pacific EXperiment (NORPEX) campaigns. The on-line data archive offers GOES-9 and GMS-5 Wind data along with GOES-9 Sounder Products. This data set covers the time period: January 10, 1998 through February 29, 1998.
