"Entomological Radar Studies" offers a variety of information
concerning the use of radar in entomological studies, including type
of radar (scanning, tracking, airborne, and vertical looking); corn,
earworm, helicoverpa zea (Boddie) behavior detected through radar;
monitoring nocturnal moth activity; early warning of migration events,
and, estimating fallout area. Color images depict both the radar
equipment used in these studies and the screen patterns produced by
insects.
The purpose of this dataset is to characterize airborne behavior and
dispersal of important agricultural insect pests.
