Abstract:
By 2007, China has successfully launched four geostationary meteorological satellites, including 01 approved two satellites FY-2A and FY-2B has stopped working, out of the geosynchronous orbit. Currently in orbit, and provide application services is approved before the two satellites 02 FY-2C and FY-2D, respectively, October 19, 2004 and December 8, 2006 was successfully launched. Satellite relative to 01 batches, 02 batches of satellite technology greatly improved performance, including satellite scanning radiometer approved by a three-channel 01 to 5 channels, a number of key technical indicators also improved; approved an increase of 02 battery-powered satellite capacity to ensure the satellite in the spring and autumnal equinox during the period before and after the shadow into the All-Star power is not shut down the satellite instruments. With the launch of FY-2D, China's geostationary meteorological satellite observing system, formation of the first binary mode, during the flood season in China to provide 15-minute interval of the cloud zone animation, greatly improving the timeliness of meteorological satellite cloud images.
