The Conically-Scanning Two-look Airborne Radiometer (C-STAR) was
deployed during the Fourth Convection and Moisture Experiment
(CAMEX-4). C-STAR data were collected at 37GHz (in the microwave part
of the electromagnetic spectrum) for the period of 8 Aug 2001 through
24 Sept 2001. The CAMEX-4 missions studied hurricanes over land and
ocean in the U.S., Gulf of Mexico, Carribean, and Western Atlantic
Ocean, and made use of multiple aircraft and research-quality radar,
lightning, and radiosonde sites.
