During the August 1994 Southern Great Plains IOP Field Compaign,
special launches were made in support of the Global Energy and Water
Cycle Experiment (GEWEX) Continental-scale International Project
(GCIP) and GCIP Integrated Systems Test (GIST) as part of an effort to
improve climate models by improving parameterizations of hydrolic and
energy cycles. This case study presents data from 1 Aug 1994 to 31 Aug
1994 and covers a region from 25N to 45N latitude and from 120W to 80W
longitude.
The data for this experiment is under Working Group 2 (Cloud Systems
Studies) of the GEWEX Cloud System Study (GCSS) to improve physical
parameterizations of clouds, other boundary layer processes, and their
interactions.
