Environmental Protection Branch, Saskatchewan Environment, Canada

Data Center Description
In partnership with the people of Saskatchewan, we have the
provincial responsibility to manage, develop and protect
Saskatchewan?s resources - fish, wildlife, lands, forests, parks
and protected areas, air, water and soils - for conservation,
economic, recreation and social purposes and to ensure they are
sustained for future generations.

Saskatchewan has adopted several long-term goals respecting our
resources and environment: protecting our primary resources -
air, water, and soil; maintenance of biological diversity and
the sustainable use of renewable resources and ecosystems; wise
use of non-renewable resources; meeting national and global
responsibilities; and contributing to economic and social
sustainability. Our responsibilities encompass the entire
province.

Protection of our primary resources - Air, Land and Water
involves regulatory and non-regulatory controls. Information on
environmental quality, air issues, hazardous substances and
waste, aquatic habitat, recycling, solid waste and water and
wastewater are profiled.
