The Department of Geological Sciences at the California State
University, Hayward offers programs leading to a B.A., B.S., M.S. and
minor in Geological Sciences. In addition, the Department participates
with 3 other departments to offer an interdiscplinary B.S. in
Environmental Sciences. We are a small department that prides itself
on a feeling of community. Small class sizes guarantee close
interaction between students and faculty, with personal attention at
