Amboseli Elephant Research Project

Project Description
The Amboseli Elephant Research Project (AERP) involves the study
of elephants in Amboseli National Park in Kenya, Africa. This
project started in 1972 when Cynthia Moss, who was studying the
elephants in the park, identified and recorded more than 1,700
elephants by name, number, or code. Currently the project
involves the collection, analysis, and production of datasets
from the result of studying the 1,100 elephants presently living
in the park.
