Global Climate Observing System Project Description
The Global Climate Observing System was established in 1992 by four international organizations: the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the International Council of Scientific Unions (ICSU).
