Program for Climate Model Diagnoses and Intercomparison
The Program for Climate Model Diagnoses and Intercomparison (PCMDI)
was established in 1989 at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
in the San Francisco Bay area. The PCMDI staff includes research
scientists, computer scienctists, and support personel.
PCMDI's principal mission is to develop improved methods and tools for
the diagnosis, validation and intercomparison of global climate models
(GCMs) (what we call a climate modeling infrastructure), and to engage
in research on a wide variety of outstanding problems in climate
modeling and analysis.
You may access PCMDI information on the World Wide Web.
