Metadata Version
 
Definition
The <Metadata_Version> field is used to identify the current DIF metadata standard.  This field is automatically populated when using the GCMD metadata authoring tools.
 
Syntax

<Metadata_Version>9.7</Metadata_Version> (by default)

  • The <Metadata_Version> field may contain 1 to 80 characters from the UTF-8 character set.
 
Usage
  • The <Metadata_Version> field is required and may not be repeated.
  • This field is automatically populated when using the GCMD metadata authoring tool.
 
Example

   <Metadata_Version>9.7</Metadata_Version>
