Summary The Global Directory of Marine (and Freshwater) Professionals is a database containing information on individuals active on issues related to the marine (and freshwater) environment . It is intended to be a tool for scientists, policy makers and anyone who needs to contact a marine (or freshwater) professional. The GLODIR is a product developed under the ... auspices of the IODE's Group of Experts on Marine Information Management (GE-MIM). GLODIR is a free product but can be used ONLY for non-profit purposes. Although the database has been developed for the benefit of the marine science community we also welcome Freshwater and Brackishwater scientists.
The database can be searched on-line. You can search by name of the individual, organization, country, URL, ASFA categories, free text description of activities and environment etc.
As an individual professional you are welcome to add your information to the database. If you would like to collaborate with the GLODIR project by coordinating input for your institution or country then please contact GLODIR. In order to improve global coverage of the database we are constantly looking for national or regional input coordinators. As a token of our appreciation we will be able to include your institution logo and URL in each record, providing additional visibility for your organization!
