HyDRO is the Global Hydrology Resource Center's (GHRC) search, retrieval, and order system for hydrologic data. HyDRO can provides users with a list of datasets specific to user selected requirements such as geographic area of interest, date, project, and instrument. Results are grouped in folders by project name and can be regrouped by campaign, platform, sensor, or parameter. Users can view data set associated with each folder, examine additional data set information, download the online datasets via FTP, or place an order which is mailed on tape or CD-ROM.
Access Constraints Some datasets are restricted as denoted by italics.
Use Constraints
Most of the data sets in the GHRC inventory are in Hierarchical Data Format (HDF) developed at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). See Related URL for more information.

Description:
The HDF software is developed and supported by NCSA and is
freely available. The HDF project involves the development and support
of software and file formats for scientific data management. The HDF
software includes I/O libraries and tools for analyzing, visualizing,
and converting scientific data. There are two HDF formats: The
original HDF (4.x and previous releases) HDF5. All GHRC
holdings that use HDF are in HDF 4 format.
