Summary (Summary adapted from the National Marine Sanctuaries web site)
The National Marine Sanctuaries web site contains information about our nation's marine sanctuaries -- how they were established, how they're managed, their scientific and educational programs, and the many exciting events that occur in them throughout the year. From several of the web pages, ... links to the individual sanctuary web sites are available. These sites provide information, images and activities exclusive to the host sanctuary.
An abundance of current and historical information exists within the web site. Maps and data products will be available from the Sustainable Seas Expeditions in May 2000. Additional products such as satellite imagery, bathymetric maps, and video will be available from each sanctuary. Educational resources include examples of classroom projects, historical information regarding the National Marine Sanctuaries Act, and materials provided by request from the individual sanctuaries.
