The WWW Tide Prediction site provides a list of global tidal heights and current speeds for specific stations. Users can narrow the search criteria on a regional basis or opt to select from the complete list of tidal or current speed sites. The site also contains useful links to frequently asked questions, NOAA's Interactive Marine Observations ... site, and NOAA's Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services. The latter links also contain tidal predictions and measured historical records.
Regional selections link the user to a list of sites containing both current speed and tide height predictions. Sites listed with "Current" written at the end are current speed predictions, other sites are tidal height predictions. Upon selection of a tidal prediction, a columnar list of dates, times, tidal height, and tidal indicator (high or low) is displayed. Users can adjust the display by changing any of the several prediction options; plot size, table type, display dates, color, and more. Similarly, current predictions are displayed with presentation options available.
Since this site no longer generates .gif graphics, users should have newer browsers capable of handling .png format graphics. NOT FOR NAVIGATION. Remember that weather conditions affect tidal ranges and current speeds, sometimes very strongly.
