A Collection of Global Ocean Tide Models on CD-ROM (U of Texas, JPL et al.)
Entry ID: 04-Global-TideModels-00

Summary
This CD-ROM contains 10 pure ocean tidal models, that is,computer programs plus their data files to compute global ocean tidal heights given latitude, longitude and time. The CD-ROM also contains: i) one loading tide model; ii) the set of tidegage data used to intercompare the models; iii) a draft paper summarizing the comparisons; iv) global maps (GIF images) of M2, S2 and other tidal ... Quality
These tidal models are accurate to within 2 to 3 cm in waters
deeper than 200m. In shallow waters they are quite inaccurate, which
makes them unsuitable for navigation or other practical applications.
