The aim of this study is to 1) determine the baseline concentrations of trace metals in the Casey area and in the Bunger Hills, and 2) characterise the trace metal reactions taking place in a natural system. Outcomes of this study will provide specific recommendations for the assessment of human impact in Antarctica.
