Summary
Abstract:
As part of the Coastal Mixing and Optics (CMO) program, Fisheries and Oceans
Canada deployed an EPSONDE instrument on the New England Continental Shelf for two weeks in September 1996 and two weeks in July/August 1997. EPSONDE is used to make profiles of turbulence in the ocean mixed layer. By measuring the temperature and velocity microstructure of the water, one can infer rates of vertical ... ![]()
