Free-Air CO2 Enrichment (FACE) Experiment: Oak Ridge Experiment on CO2 Enrichment of Sweetgum
Entry ID:
CDIAC_FACE
Summary
Abstract:
The Oak Ridge Experiment on CO2 Enrichment of Sweetgum is a Free-Air CO2
Enrichment (FACE) experiment at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, USA. The experiment tests critical hypotheses about the responses of a closed-canopy deciduous forest to the atmospheric CO2 concentrations of future decades. Data includes air temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation, soil temperature, precipitation and wind. Also measured are CO2 concentrations, tree basal area, and other response variables.
