Summary

This data set consists of soil moisture gravimetric measurements from
130 meteorological stations of the former Soviet Union for the period
1978-1985. The data covers the areas of Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia,
Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Kazakhstan.

Data are freely available from the Global Soil Moisture Data Bank at:
