Summary
Abstract: The Tides and Survey sections within the Hydrographic Office of the Royal
Australian Navy archives oceanographic data which includes tidal and
bathymetric observations.

Observed tidal data has been obtained during surveys and from other national
sources. Tidal constituents have been obtained from observation data.
Approximately 600 observation stations are available in digital form. Tidal
observations are obtained during Naval surveys and from other organizations.
Duration of observations range from a few days to several months. Data are
available on magnetic tape and in hardcopy form. Australian National Tide
Tables contain annual prediction for 77 major ports and 250 secondary ports.
