Automated Weather Station Data for OhioEntry ID: USDA0117
Abstract: Data on solar radiation, air temperature, relative humidity,
wind speed and direction, precipitation and soil temperature are
collected. Hourly averages and daily totals and extremes (with
times) as appropriate are obtained. Eight locations have data
dating back to 1981, one back to 1985, and two recent additions
have been made. One location has been recently removed. Data
are used to support ... agricultural research.

Collection Methodology: Data logger-based automatic weather
stations. Data collected over telephone lines daily. Sites
visited regularly for maintenance. Annual calibration
procedures. Data inspected daily for quality control.

Media: Hard disk and magnetic tape.
