May and August 1997 AVHRR images of the Beaufort Sea

Summary
Abstract:
Donald Wylie from the University of Wisconsin has assembled GAC IR and
visible images at 5 km resolution for the Beaufort Sea Arctic Region. There are two IR and one visible image per day. Sea level pressure and surface temperature data from NCEP's analysis had been overlayed over the images. The image times are near the 00 and 12 UT times of NCEP's analysis. The August images do not have the sea level pressure and surface temperature fields because of an archive mistake so the 500 mb height field and the 1000 mb wind field were plotted.
