Summary The SciFish 2100 combines traditional split-beam sonar and broadband sonar into a single sonar unit. The Split-Beam portion of the sonar provides the ability to track fish for accurate counting as well as provide fish position relative to the beam for broadband compensation. The Broadband portion of the sonar provides improved spatial resolution (resolves targets smaller than 2 cm) and produces spectral information that can be used for species and size discrimination. The sonar system and processor reside in a single unit with an Ethernet interface that allows several sonar systems to be networked together into a single system. Raw data can be exported to Matlab or processed data can be exported into HAC format for analysis in EchoView.
