Farming Systems for Soil Quality and Economic Sustainability
Entry ID: USDA.ARS.NSDL.FarmSyst

Summary
Abstract: 1. Climatic conditions in subtropical and warm temperate
regions make it difficult to increase soil carbon storage, given
current cropping practices coupled with the use of conventional
tillage.

2. Intensive, economically feasible cropping and soil management
systems need to be developed that result in maximization of potential C
storage and consequent improvement insoil quality.
