Global radiation at the Earth-surface derived from METEOSAT-data (DWD-Archive) from 1994 on.
Entry ID: DWD-METEOSAT_Glob.rad.

Summary
Abstract: Since 1985, the German Meteorological Service DWD (Deutscher Wetterdienst) has
been extracting the global radiation from METEOSAT visible data based on a
method which was developed by Moeser and Raschke (1984). The method combines
results from radiative transfer calculations with cloud information from
METEOSAT-VIS data. The area of investigation is Central Europe.

The global radiation is one ... View entire text
