Summary
Abstract: The "Fire Effects Information System (FEIS)" provides up-to-date information on
fire effects on plants and animals. User may access fire effect information by
chosing among: plant species; wild species; forest and range ecosystem;
Kuchler potential natural vegetation type; or cover type. Data concerning fire
ecology and fire effects of the chosen organism or type may then be obtained,
along with a variety of collateral information.
