Abstract: The Livestock By State dataset provides state level inventory
estimates for all cattle (January 1, 1975-92), hogs (December 1,
1975-91), sheep (January 1, 1975-92), chickens (December 1, 1983-91),
and red meat, poultry, eggs, and milk production and prices. The data
are collected monthly in season and annually.

times each year and estimates are adopted based on survey data and any
other available administrative data that would support estimate
