Summary
Abstract: In the summers of 1994/95, 1995/96, 1996/97 and 1997/98, researchers visited
the waters of Patagonian Channels, Drake Passage, Bransfield Strait and de
Gerlache Strait looking for cetaceans. The observations were made from the
bridge of Chilean Navy Ships ISAZA and MICALVI during the tracks for logistic
support to INACH and specially dedicated tracks for cetaceans. The objectives
of this were identifying cetaceans species mainly from Antarctic Peninsula and
their summer distribution
