Behavioural responses of incubating Adelie penguins to a novel object, Ross Island, 2002-2003
Entry ID: K034_2001_2005_NZ_7

Abstract: The behavioural responses of incubating Adelie penguins to a person standing 1 meter away and to a cardboard shield of similar size to a person also at 1 meter distance were measured to determine how much of the response of an incubating bird to the approach of a person is a specific response to a person rather than simply a response to a novel large object.
