NDBC and SeaWiFS Ocean Color project

Abstract: The National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) is providing in situ
oceanographic bio-optical data to aid in the calibration and
validation of NASA's ocean color Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view
Sensor (SeaWiFS) instrument which is to be aboard the SeaStar
satellite. This new satellite (to be launched in summer 1997)
will provide high resolution (1 km) images for global coverage of
ocean color to assess the ... View entire text
