Quality All known features of the type shown were included as appropriate to the scale. The topographic data was based on the 1:1,000,000 map series dated 1971. Traverse data were sourced from the above map series and from the Lambert Basin Glaciological Traverse. The 2000 and 2500 metre contours were reinterpreted from data collected during the Lambert Basin Glaciological Traverse. The topographic data are generally accurate at 1:1,000,000 scale, however it is known that some features in the southern Prince Charles Mountains are 10km out of position.
Access Constraints The GIS data used for the map to represent traverse routes, ice movement stations, weather stations, control stations and camp sites is available for download from this metadata record.
The remaining GIS data used for the map, including topography, has been archived as it has been superseded since the production of the map.
