Prevalence of Infection in Rainbow Trout Under Different Flow RatesEntry ID: MSU_13
Abstract: Myxospores were introduced to artificial stream channels with different flow regimes (slow and fast). Rainbow trout sac-fry were added to each channel for one-week exposures; afterwards, a quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (QPCR) assay was performed for Myxobolus cerebralis. Data show the percentage of fry that tested positive by QPCR for Myxobolous cerebralis.
Purpose: These data were collected as part of a larger study designed to determine the infection efficacy of Myxobolus cerebralis under different flow regimes using a laboratory model. All data from the larger study will be used to inform a risk assessment model.
