Abstract: Ocean surface temperature and salinity data, measured at U.S. West
Coast shore stations from 1916 to the present, are available by ftp
from Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

The shore stations included in this data set are Balboa CA, Bodega
Bay CA, Charleston OR, Crescent City CA, Farallon Islands CA, Granite
Canyon CA, Morro Bay CA, Neah Bay WA, Port San Luis CA, Pacific Grove
CA, Point Dume (Zuma Beach) CA, Santa Catalina Island CA, Santa Cruz
CA, Santa Monica CA, San Clemente CA, Santa Barbara CA, La Jolla CA,
and Trinidad Beach CA. In the case of La Jolla, surface and bottom
data from Scripps Pier are included.
