Russian Geostationary Operational Meteorological Satellite (GOMS) Data Archive

Abstract: This data server has been established through joint cooperation
between the Russian Ground Microprocessing Information Systems SRC
"PLANETA" and Space Monitoring Information Support Laboratory (IKI
RAN). The Geostationary Operational Meteorological Satellite (GOMS)
satellite was launched on October 31, 1994 and is located in orbit at
a stationary point over 76 deg 50' E. This server offers GOMS satellte
imagery of the earth's surface and cloud cover in the infrared and
visible spectrum. The archive begins on December 28, 1997. All data
may be retieved from the "Sputnik" data server.
