Abstract: The purpose of "Behavior and Effects of Radionuclides in Soils and Plants: Land
Burial of Radioactive Waste" is to determine the efficacy of existing and
proposed procedures used for burial of radioactive waste, and to devise and
investigate more effective procedure for land burial or radioactive waste.
Collection Organization: University of California, Berkeley, Plant and Soil
Collection Methodology: Field studies carried out at existing low-level
radioactive burial sites and demonstration sites. Site hydrology and
radionuclide migration studied. Both arid and humid region sites used in the
study to give an overall perspective.
Collection Frequency: Experiment Station work terminated, work may continue
under DOE or NRC.
