Abstract: [Adapted from the NDP-058 documentation]

The Numeric Data Package NDP-058 presents data sets recording 1 degree
latitude by 1 degree longitude CO2 emissions in units of thousand
metric tons of carbon per year from anthropogenic sources for 1950,
1960, 1970, 1980, and 1990. Detailed geographic information on CO2
emissions can be critical in understanding the pattern of the
atmospheric and ... View entire text

Quality An important part of the data packaging process at CDIAC involves the
quality assurance (QA) of data before distribution. To guarantee data
of the highest possible quality, CDIAC performs extensive QA checks,
examining the data for completeness, reasonableness, and
accuracy. However, QA on the national CO2 emissions had been performed
by CDIAC (NDP030/R7) prior to processing these emissions as a gridded
database. Specific data quality checks for NDP058 can be found in: Section 5. CDIAC QUALITY
